Dawn writes to dr Liesel van der Merwe:
I have two golden retrievers, a boy and girl named Elvis and Mello. I have noticed that Mello can easily go without food for a day or two whereas Elvis devours everything.
She will sometimes lie down and then slowly starts to nibble on her food. What helps is if I pour a little bit of milk over her food; she will then eat. They eat Royal Canine Adult food and nothing else.
Mello is quite playful and energetic. Elvis is gaining weight and looks healthy and strong, whereas Mello is smaller and thin but healthy looking. Do you think there is reason to be concerned?
