Wet Nose Animal Rescue
Centre’s annual fundraiser
will be held on National
Homeless Animals Day on Saturday
30 August.
The day starts at 9 am and you are
invited to take a lead, choke chain,
halter and brushes and adopt a
Wet Nose orphan for the day. You
will be welcome to dip and groom
the animals and spoil them rotten.
You can also take an orphan out
on a walk, for which you’ll receive
a gold medal.
..
These cuddly farm kittens are up
for adoption.
There will be entertainment, food
stalls and dog shows. You can
book a stall for Homeless Animals
Day for R75. All funds raised will
go towards a sterilisation outreach
programme where less fortunate
pets are sterilised to prevent unwanted
litters and to make life a
little easier for them.
Wet Nose is in need of blankets,
pet food and people who can help
to construct the cat play park with
scratch poles, terraces and plants.
Wet Nose has been doing inspections
at various abattoirs and has
rescued over 30 horses and donkeys
during June and July. With the
sudden influx of horses, help is
needed with the following: building
more shelters and paddocks;
equine food and especially food
concentrates; horse blankets; halters;
sawdust; and any other
equine tool you might have spare.

Chubby has
been at Wet
Nose for four
years. It’s
time for him
to have a
real home
with friends
and family
he can take
care of.
Chubby is
ready for a home with big walls.
Most of all, these rescued horses
need your time. Go visit them,
help care for them and show them
that they can trust humans again.
Wet Nose is on plot 75, Vaalbank,
opposite de Leeuw rose farm on
the Old Bronkhorstspruit Road. It is
approximately 6 km from the fourway
stop intersection with the
Cullinan/Rayton road. Call them at
