Not only do my family and I (and most certainly other members of our community) have to put up with permanently cracked windscreens due to Raymix not monitoring the loading of stone onto their customers’ vehicles and the resultant ‘spill’ onto Graham Road, but they also start their drilling operations at 5 am on a Saturday.

We live 5 km from the quarry but on Saturday morning we are not woken by the usual bird calls, but rather by the constant loud ‘buzzing’ sound of the quarry’s drillers.

This has been going on for years, but now we need to put pressure on these companies that operate with total disregard for the community in which they operate.

The loud ‘buzzing’ sound could originate from the adjacent brick yard: Ed
